All kinds of paints have four components. Namely: resins, pigments, solvents, additives. The solvent is the volatile part, and the other is not volatile. Of course, there are filler pigments (also called fillers) in addition to the above four components. The main types of fillers are carbonates, silicates, sulfates, and oxides. Fillers can play a role in adjusting the gloss, texture, suspension, and viscosity of coatings.
The main functions of coatings are protective (such as moisture resistance, water resistance, weather resistance, chemical resistance, etc.) and decorative (with various colors and glosses).
